Conservatories with polycarbonate or old glass conservatory roofs are prone to problems such as leaks, being too noisy when it rains, and too hot or cold during the summer and winter seasons, making it unusable for many months of the year.

Turkington’s offer two roof replacement options to bring your conservatory back to life, either glass or an Ultraframe roof. With both these options, you have the option of retaining the side windows or replacing them from the dwarf wall upwards. This will depend on the age and structural integrity of the existing conservatory.

Glass Roof Replacement

We can replace your existing roof with an upgraded roof and glass. Our modern ‘Smart Glass’ has been continually developed, enhanced and upgraded over the last decade. We have many hundreds of satisfied consumers throughout Northern Ireland.

With a U-value of 1.2 W/m2K it helps minimise heat loss in the winter months, whilst a typical G-value of 40% means that 60% of the sun’s heat is reflected back, helping to reduce heat build-up during the summer months.

The blue tint on the roof glass will let your conservatory will feel open and airy, yet benefit from anti-glare on sunny days . There is also an easy clean coating and warm edge technologies built in to all our roof glass as standard.

Solar Control - Helps reduce the build-up of heat in the summer months which offers more solar protection than standard glass. This makes your conservatory cooler in the summer.
Warm Winter U-Value – This measures heat loss through the glass unit in winter months. This low U-Value glass will help keep your conservatory warmer in winter
Easy Clean – This special coating is to prevent the build-up of dirt and grime and reduces the frequency of cleaning.
Anti-Glare - Whilst the conservatory is the best room in the house to enjoy the sun and light of the summer, at the same time the glare from the sun can be an issue. Our Smart glass is designed to dramatically reduce the glare of the sun.
Argon Filled Low E - filled with argon gas and a low emissive coating help to keep heat in on cooler days.
Warm Edge Technology - Avoids heat loss at the edge of the unit, reducing internal condensation especially at the glass edge. Warm edge spacer is typically up to 950 times less conductive than standard aluminium.
Anti-Fade - Blocks out 98% of the harmful UV rays that cause damage to soft furnishings.

UltraRoof Roof Replacement

The UltraRoof is a tiled conservatory roof that looks outstanding and provides incredible thermal performance. This roof system delivers all year thermal performance combining an authentic tiled roof with full length glass panels, allowing natural light to flood the living area.

It is the lightest and strongest tiled conservatory roof on the market. It is designed to sit on existing or new window frames and doors and unlike other solid roofs, it never needs a tie bar. The Ultraroof will reward you with an interior space that’s light, bright, warm and comfortable.

Ultraroof features full-length glazing panels – not just smaller Velux-type windows. These full-length panels not only look stunning from inside and out, but they also ensure that the interior is filled with natural light to ensure a feeling of space. It is the warmest tiled roof available, which means that it will become a part of your home that can be used every day, regardless of how cold it is outside. It includes an internal pelmet and external soffit for lighting, a highly authentic tile finish and slimline hips and ridge cappings.
