During the summer months of this year we were asked to install an Orangery in Hillsborough, County Down.
Mr and Mrs McElrea wanted to enhance their property and garden while keeping with the traditional Georgian heritage aesthetics of their home. They approached Turkington in order to help them find the best style for their home.
An orangery is a great way to add extra space to your home, as well as adding extra value. At Turkington all of our orangeries and conservatories are designed bespoke to match the requirements of the customer, one of the many reasons Mr and Mrs McElrea chose to use Turkington to design and build their new glazed extension.

Mr and Mrs McElrea decided on an Anthracite Grey exterior Loggia orangery with a white interior; a modern twist on a traditional design.
Our expert team of installers and builders, led by Neil, created the modern, high performance PVC orangery which matched the Georgian style of the property. Large glass sliding patio doors were installed to maximise light and bring the beauty of the outside, indoors. The white interior matched Mr and Mrs McElrea’s interior décor, while the strong glass roof with solar control glazing helps to create an all year round room, with double glazed floor to ceiling windows, giving the orangery brilliant energy efficient features!
The results were outstanding, giving the property a heritage look exterior to fit in with the beautiful Georgian town of Hillsborough.
