How to clean and care for your Turkington windows, doors and conservatories

Simple Care for Lasting Quality

Our windows, doors and conservatories are designed to be easy to maintain. Following these simple care instructions will keep your products looking great and performing well for many years.

uPVC Care

Wipe down with warm soapy water — no abrasives needed.
Aluminium Care

Clean with mild detergent and rinse well to prevent marks.
Glass Care

Use a glass cleaner for sparkling, streak-free results.

Caring for uPVC frames

Use warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid applied with a soft cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to avoid water marks. Do not use abrasive pads, solvents, white spirit or bleach on uPVC frames as these can cause permanent damage. For stubborn marks, specialist uPVC cleaner is available from most hardware stores.
Caring for aluminium frames

Clean aluminium frames with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. The powder-coated finish is durable but can be scratched by abrasive materials. For any significant damage to the coating, contact our service team.
Caring for your glass

Clean glass with a proprietary glass cleaner or warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. Use a squeegee or soft cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid streaks. Self-cleaning glass (where fitted) will naturally reduce the frequency of cleaning required — simply rinse with water and allow to dry naturally.
